In second year I created designs for an app as part of one of my modules. The app was a quiz app and by answering the questions provided to you, the app would tell you which political party you most affiliated with.
The aim of the app was to get younger people voting as this was around the time of the general election. A lot of younger people do not vote as they do not know much about politics or the parties involved. I thought that an app would take away the confusion and in a simple 5 minute quiz, the app could tell you which party you should vote for. The app also included sections such as a glossary of terms that you could look up if you did not know what a word meant and this would do the job of educating younger people in the issues facing the UK today.
Unfortunately, at the time of the project I did not have XD which would allow me to prototype my app so the screens were poorly designed. For this reason I have decided to redesign the app and improve on it as I feel it was a project I was invested in due to my belief that younger people should be involved in politics.
