In the bookbinding workshop we learnt how to bind books in 3 ways.
1. Stab stitch
2. 3 hole pamphlet stitch
3. Concertina
The 3 hole pamphlet stitch was the least unobtrusive stitch when it came to binding books, so I think it would be used to bind booklets if you were aiming for the clean simplistic look.
The concertina book is a bit more work to put together and uses glue instead of stitching so could get messy but the finished product is a really interesting and individual folded booklet.
