To make our pitch stand out, we decided to go the extra mile and use a concept we had previously discussed in our first brainstorm about the project. When we had discussed spray painting objects, we thought the spray painted easel would be a cool object to feature. However, once we moved on from this concept, we kept that in mind. As we still used gold, we thought that the easel would be good for a method of displaying/wayfinding. To incorporate this into our pitch we decided instead of placing it on the sheet, we would use the item itself to display the pitch.
We sourced the easel and the spray paint and sprayed the easel for the pitch. It only required one coat as we used a high quality, metallic brand. This extra element to our pitch we thought would make us stand out and provide an additional item for our concept.
The pitch itself we printed onto 280gsm satin card so that it would not bend whilst on the easel.
However, when we submitted our pitches we discovered that the people putting up the work would be hanging the pitches using wire. Because of this, we would not be able to display our pitch as intended, but we still decided to include the easel.
