Rebus puzzles are devices that use pictures, numbers and as few words as possible to convey a short message.

This escort card is from around 1865 (same era I am basing my way finding system on) and says 'may I see you at home my dear?' The puzzle is used as a clever way of promoting the escort's business, hiding the true meaning in a puzzle.

I want to incorporate this device into my way finding system as I think the puzzle/riddle will entice more people into following the system and perhaps even encouraging them to discover more about the buildings in the system, Leeds history and the industrial revolution itself.
