For my research lead brief, I want to undertake a project that addresses a current issue, one that could impact people and assist in making a change.

I am always interested in the topic of food and nutrition as a lot can be done with it, however, I am already doing at least 2 other briefs around the subject. This could limit my portfolio by focusing on the subject too much.
I think that one of the biggest issues/ topics of discussion in the world at the moment is the environment. I have seen so many articles and news segments recently about plastic pollution and how it has reached an all-time high. This could be an interesting topic to cover and would provide me with a wealth of research. However, I also think the topic could be chosen by a few other people as it is such a relevant issue.
