The zine is a non profit collaborative project about people's experiences with periods. This includes submissions and stories from people such as trans people, who people would not normally associate periods with. The zine aims to change discourse around a subject that is considered taboo.
The intersectional feminist standpoint is one of the most important features of the zine, meaning that it aims to counter traditional associations of white cisgender women. As the world becomes more diverse and inclusive, the stigma around the subject of menstruation needs to change to include people of all genders - non binary, gender fluid and trans people can have periods too. Language used surrounding menstruation eg. lady time, women's problems etc. is exclusive and alienating.
This element of the zine I think is something that we could use in our own campaign. Even though the name of the company is For Her, we could also include this element of inclusivity, so as to not exclude any gender.
