Research - Ecotopia funding

Ecotopia was started using a Start-Up loan, but the shop also relies on donations to keep new equipment coming in.

Recently, their Crowd funder has failed to raise any money for the new equipment they wanted to have in store. They have since cut their target to reflect this but are still struggling to pull in funds. After a week of announcing the new crowd funder with altered target, their online donations still sit at £0.

The only donations they have had as of 2/04/19 is in store donations which have amounted to £305.

As the founders of the store opened the store with a loan, and are surviving from sales made within the shop, they may have paid off this loan but cannot afford to expand their shop any further. They rely on donations to add new equipment and products, to better their shop and provide more for customers. Not getting enough donations hinders the growth of the shop and prevents customers from getting a wider range of products. This is a key problem that I have identified.
