Only after this point did I realise that the fonts that are wanted for the design of the poster are already specified and given to us in the resources folder for the brief. I realised this and altered the designs to use Gotham Rounded, as was supplied.
After reviewing each set of designs we decided on our favourites. I particularly liked the variation in weight of the text slogan, as the contrast made the poster more interesting as well as reinforced the concept even further.
Final posters:
Our final posters use a selection of photography from our shoot. We chose to use the head-on shots of the models as we felt this was the most honest and simplest way to represent them. The models have the pads over their mouth and are standing in front of bright backdrops. The powerful imagery is accompanied by a banner running across the top of the page. The banner is white but has an opacity of 25% to give it a translucent appearance. Over the top of this is our slogan 'more talk less shame' in Gotham Rounded. 'More talk' has a heavier weight than 'less shame' to enforce the idea even further, the use of hierarchy within these two lines of text also achieves this. The logo for The Case For Her is also white, and is at the opposite end of the banner. The minimalistic design relies on the powerful imagery, with minimal intrusion of type and other elements.
