We decided to research more into the use of gold within photography and how to style it.
Inspiration:
My idea for the new concept:
The gold standard - using this as a concept and varying the photography around this
“Unveiling” the gold standard (gold sheet)
“Overflowing”/”Dripping in”/”Covering” the gold standard (gold paint dripping over something)
“Showcasing” the gold standard (gold frame)
We have chosen to go with the gold sheet unveiling, and decided to use people as models, and to have the sheet draped over the person. Last year there were no people involved in the branding of the show, so we thought this year it could be a good idea to involve models in the photography. This will also produce a more aesthetic overall look, as objects can be tough to portray when covered by a sheet, however models are generally the same shape/size so will be easy to identify. We can also use the model in different poses to vary the photography.
