Product Range Distribution: Initial Design and Composition

After deciding on the planned aesthetic of my lookbook, taking inspiration from minimalist design and using lots of negative space, I began to experiment with sketches for composition.

I think along the pages of the book I will vary the layout of the content. Having the same layout across the book will get boring after a while.
On some pages, there will be more text than others, for example, the interview with the Depop seller.

One section of the lookbook is an interview and photos of a Depop seller on the importance and resurgence of reselling. In research into the Asos magazine, the layout varied across different sections but was consistent in each of these sections. I want to use the same strategy in the lookbook - so keep the same layout for the interview in terms of photos and text placement.
The rest of the publication will be less text heavy so the focus will be heavier on the photos. In these sections, I can include small statistics and facts taken from my initial research into the environmental impact fashion has on the world. I will be relating these to the images.

A lot of the images taken of the Depop seller are in landscape format, I think these look best to show the outfit as well as a setting which makes the book more relatable. Working with this landscape format has given me a basis on which to compose the pages.
